Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

We do not accept social media invitations from clients or potential clients. You can, and we welcome you, to follow our professional social media pages. We cannot follow you back or comment on your pages. This is to protect your privacy.

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist and information cannot be disclosed without written permission. Exceptions include:

  • Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse. The therapist is required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.

  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person, the therapist must notify the police and inform the intended victim.

  • If a client intends to harm themselves, the therapist will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not work with the therapist towards the appropriate safety plan, the therapist may take further measures without their permission that are provided by law in order to ensure their safety.

Non-Discrimination Policy

We do not discriminate against any individual on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, citizenship status, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, or veteran/military status. I provide an atmosphere of respect, dignity, acceptance and safety for all clients.

LGBTQ Care

We provide care from an embracing stance of how you identify. We do not support or provide any type of Reparative Therapy.

Trans Care

We reference WPATH Standards of Care and adhere to the Informed Consent Model (ICATH) in our therapy practices.
