Brooklynn Kendall, Director

California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist 103221

Schooling and Training: I attended the University of California, Irvine obtaining a Bachelors of Arts in Criminology, Law and Society with a minor in Philosophy, and then Pepperdine University earning a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. I completed a 3000 hour internship with the LGBTQ Center OC and continue to participate in ongoing training through The Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy. I spent over a decade working in corporate insurance managing claims in litigation, mediating claims and managing claims employees. I am proud to have developed a successful employee reward system that was cost effective, improved employee morale and remains in use today.

Therapeutic Focus: I specialize my work with the LGBTQ community, their allies, kink, couples and polyamorous communities. My past and current work involves life changing medical diagnosis, questions surrounding sexuality and gender, and couples working through whether to get married, stay together, navigating separation with families, and healing relationship wounds.

Approach to Therapy: My clients often feel we have more of a conversation and its within the conversation that the therapy happens. After working together, clients start to feel emotionally strong, supported and that they know someone is in their corner. My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for professionals, couples, families, groups and individuals to work on life's goals and challenges. My approach to therapy is from a non pathologizing perspective which aims to focus on collaboration and strength versus deficits.

Fun Facts About Me: I am a mom, a spouse, an ally, a community member, creative potty mouth, traveler and I grew up in the Gay Community attending my first Pride Parade at age 5.

Fees: $210 for individual sessions and $260 for couples/families/poly-cule
